Studio Tour Postscript

Thanks to everyone who stopped in at my place, Site 23, for the Guelph Studio Tour this weekend.  All told there were a few hundred of you. We went through a case of Candidato and got the chance to have many fascinating conversations about art and life.  It felt like we were back in Spain, opening our inside to the outside and prolonging the merrymaking for days rather than hours, like carnival, without the costumes. My octogenerian neighbour commented, "Your place looked like church, people coming in and out and cars parked everywhere."

We really had a great time.

Please, stay in touch!

Studio Tour Invitation

As I mentioned in previous posts, this weekend Guelph hosts its 27th annual Studio Tour, and I'll be one of 40 artists participating in it - the first time I will be participating.

Studios will be open on

Friday, 7 pm - 9 pm
Saturday, 10 am - 6 pm
Sunday, 11 am - 5 pm

You can find a map of the different studio locations here. Physical brochures can be found throughout Guelph, and if you bring a copy initialled by four artists your name gets put into a draw for $150 off the purchase of any artwork on the tour.

I'm located at Site 23, that's

117 Johnston St. off of York Rd.,
across from Lyon Park (see Google Maps).

Look out for the large white banner. I'll have it attached to the front of the house, along with some red balloons.

Here's the studio in my backyard as it appeared on Thursday.
Here's the inside as I started to tidy up.

The floor I probably won't get to.
Nor the walls. It'll be an authentic tour.

Hope to see you out!

The Art of Toronto Streetcars

Yonge Street Magazine interviewed me and a few other artists on our thoughts about Toronto streetcars, including the new ones the city has just rolled out: http://www.yongestreetmedia.ca/features/streetcarart10032012.aspx.

The cover image - of Gerrard and Broadview - is mine.

Aesthetically, which do you prefer?
